REBAR Chelsea feels like a gym class. Hot, sweaty, and surrounded by muscled guys. They have exciting themed parties exploring different types of kink. The best part is the dance floor, always packed and always vibrant. You can expect different themed parties happening almost every night.

The bar was opened in 2017 by Frank DiLuzio and Facundo Rodriguez, in the same building where the old G Lounge used to be. This is a very touristic kind of bar.

What's the vibe like at REBAR Chelsea?

REBAR is always busy, packed with people having fun. You can relax and flirt at the bar, enjoy the dance floor or catch up with your friends in their lounge area. Fun fact: When REBAR was opened in 2017, one of the owners gave an interview affirming that the establishment wouldn’t have TVs, shows, or go-gos performances. Well, that changed. REBAR has large screens and you will often find almost-naked dancers all over the dance floor.

What songs do they play?

Remixes and house music. Do you know how they used to portray gay clubs in movies during the 2000s? That’s the place they were thinking of.

Is there a fee to enter REBAR Chelsea?

REBAR charges an entrance fee for most of its events. The fee can go from $5 to $30, depending on the party.

What is the dress code?

Whatever makes you feel comfortable and sexy. You will find a lot of tank tops, tho. Actually, how about just taking your shirt off?

History

Right after its opening, REBAR was accused of discriminating against black patrons. Some Black patrons documented incidents whereby doormen were allegedly telling Black patrons to wait in a queue outside of the bar. They issued an apology message right after.
