The Boiler Room is a divey bar that has been serving cheap drinks and entertaining different crowds since the 2000s. It's a New York classic, with a pool table, photo booth, jukebox and a lounge area to hang out with your friends. The Boiler Room may not be featured on the fanciest’ gay bars in NYC, but it’s certainly one of the most friendly places in town.

What's the vibe like at The Boiler Room?

The Boiler Room has been around for nearly 30 years, welcoming people from all tribes without catering to one specific group - such as The Eagle or The Cock. Their crowd is famously known as one of the most mixed in New York City, and not exclusively white as many bars in Hell’s Kitchen. You will find patrons from every race, sex or gender, and every age.

What songs do they play?

This is a jukebox bar, so it’s really up to the customers to decide what they want to hear.

Is there a fee to enter The Boiler Room?

The Boiler Room doesn’t charge a cover fee.

What is the dress code?

From casual to trendy, and everything else in between. Feel yourself!
